不定式作主语作宾语作表语作定语作状语
不定式的语法功能：除不能作谓语，其他句子成分都可。
1. 不定式作主语
To see is to believe. 眼见为实。
注意
常用it作形式主语。It’s…for sb. / It’s…of sb.
1) for sb.前常用表示事物的特征特点或客观形式的形容词，如easy, hard, difficult, interesting, impossible等。
It’s very hard for him to study two languages. 
对他来说，学习两种语言是很困难的。
2) of sb.的句型一般用于表示人物的性格、品德，表示主观感情或态度的形容词，如good, kind, nice, clever, foolish, cruel, right等。
It’s very nice of you to help me. 你能帮助我真的是太好了。
2. 不定式作宾语
I want to speak to Tom. 我想跟Tom谈谈。

3. 不定式作宾补
Father will not allow us to play on the street.
爸爸不允许我们在街上玩耍。
4. 不定式作表语
不定式可放在be动词后面，形成表语。
My work is to clean the room every day. 我的工作是每天打扫房间。
5. 不定式作定语
不定式做定语通常要放在被修饰的词后。
I have a lot of work to do. 我有很多工作要做。
6. 不定式作状语
1) 目的状语
to… , only to (仅仅为了), in order to, so as to, so(such)… as to… (如此……以便……)
He ran so fast as to catch the first bus. 
他跑得如此之快，就是为了赶上首班车。
I come here only to say good-bye to you.
我来这里只是为了跟你说再见。
2) 结果状语
He searched the room only to find nothing. 他搜索了房间，不过什么也没有找到。
3) 原因状语
I’m glad to see you. 见到你我很高兴。

Dear Aron, 
I'm writing to tell you we had found a new apartment for you. The building is only 500 meters away to our school, with a bank on its right or a gym on its left. Across it is a supermarket. Besides, it will be convenient for you get around the city because a bus stop is right in the front of the building.
The apartment measures 40 square meters, included a bedroom, a sitting room, a kitchen and a bathroom. They have made sure that it is equipped with basic things needing in everyday life, such as the refrigerator, the TV set and the coffeemaker. Which is great news is that free Wi­Fi is provided.
